Here are few Rakshabandhan Cards I made. Yes, it is too early to start as Rakshabandhan in on Aug 5th this year, but I was late last year so better to start early.
and don't worry my brothers are too busy to check out my blog so it won't ruin the surprise.
These aren't too fancy. I tried my new watercolor set, and all I can say is I am not very good at handling watercolors. It is going take time to learn how to control them...I used to use them when I was 8, and always thought that they are made for kids, but actually I think it is one of the toughest medium to use besides egg tempera.
Look at this amazing piece done in watercolor http://www.artwallpapers.com/art_wallpapers_net/paintings/steve_hanks/04/steve_hanks04.jpg
I am not amazed because its realistic, but by the fact that I didn't know watercolors could create such beautiful things.
as you can see I have a long way to go with watercolors. =/
For the cards, I got some help from this wonderful website. http://www.4to40.com
More to come, I haven't finished making all of them yet.
